Architect/Civil Engineer looking to get into this career.
I am not sure if what I am looking for is property management or another type of title, I really couldn't find the proper term.
I am an Architectural Engineer, landed in some Civil Engineer firm and did municipal projects, such as concrete sidewalk and curbs, street pavements, parks improvements, sewers and storm waters; however I am tired of working in such harsh weather and be undervalued by employers, so I thought of working in some sort of "condominium complex".
What I am looking for is not dealing with just regular tenants problems, I am looking into more of "consultant" type of job, e.g. proposing improvements to the site (playgrounds, benches, landscaping), repairs such as pavements and sidewalk, foresee risks such as bad floor materials on site causing slip on snow days etc.
My background in Arch' Eng' studied everything related to buildings, from designs for floor plans, Landscaping, Urban Design, Interior Design, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural, and other utilities, you can say I studied head to toe about buildings, with basic knowledge on other engineering aspects.
I am not sure if rental complexes are interested in always improving and proposing newer ideas; instead of working with firms who are going to charge thousands for simple proposals, I can do that and work w/ proper paper work and legal contractors to work on such small sized projects.
I am also interested into applying research to address demographics of the place, see what fits the community and always keep them excited in their living place with improvements and addressing their concerns and matters would get them higher rating reviews and recommendations.
I feel delusional by inventing this kind of job idea, but I might as well ask and see if there is such a thing or I need a psychiatrist.
