Ghosted again

I matched with this girl on hinge and we seemed to get on well and had a fair bit in common. She was a lot quicker to respond than most of my matches and we realised halfway through the conversation that we went to the same uni and lived in the same uni town at the same time so we had quite a lot of mutuals. I asked her out after 3 days of talking to her and then she ghosted me. I don’t understand? I was ghosted by another match the other week and people on reddit where saying it’s because I took to long to ask her out so I asked this girl out a lot quicker and I still get ghosted? Is this because people are just using hinge for attention and have no intention of going on dates or was she talking to some other guy she liked more? I’m beginning to feel that hinge is a massive waste of time given 90% of people ghost me.
