Pixel Watch 5 1-Second Lag Upon Wake Normal?

Hi Everyone. New owner of a pixel watch 5. I have my watch display on AOD-off and tilt-to-wake on. Whenever I raise my watch to wake it up, there's always like a 1-2 second delay where the screen is awake, but the watch doesn't respond to anything (e.g. swiping, crown scrolling, touching any of the complications, etc.). After that, it functions fine. This happens no matter what stock watch face I use. Is this everyone's experience or do I have a buggy unit? Thanks.
