Railway gates can be surprisingly frustrating you reach a gate, wait without knowing how long it will stay closed, and sometimes end up idling your vehicle for several minutes.

I built **Gate Track** to make that experience a little smarter.

The app provides **live railway gate status and predictions**, so you can check a crossing before reaching it and make a more informed decision about your route.

With the latest update, it also includes:

* 🚦 **Live railway gate status & predictions**
* 🚆 **Inside the Train:** Follow your journey on a real-time map while contributing gate information
* 🗨️**13 Indian languages** with native-language support
* 🤝 **Community-driven updates:** one person's contribution can help another traveller
* 🌱 **Less unnecessary engine idling:** knowing a gate's status ahead of time can help avoid waiting with the engine running, potentially reducing unnecessary fuel use and emissions

The idea is simple: **better information before you reach the crossing.**

I’ve been working on Gate Track for a while, and V2.0 is a pretty big milestone for me.

Would love to hear what you think especially from people who regularly travel through railway crossings in India.

Currently it is available in Play Store Only: [Play Store](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.railgatecheck.railgatecheckapp&pcampaignid=web_share)
