Too Many Dolls At Home

Since COVID my doll collection has exploded and has become a huge source of stress and shame. I want to downsize my collection, but have had limited success in actually parting with many and limiting purchases. I’ve donate some, traded a few, and even given dolls away. And yet, I’m still drowning in dolls. I just feel so overly attached to all of them and “fear” when I think about really letting them go. Then I start making excuses about why I should keep all of them. They have become too wrapped up in my identity. I hate it. It feels so far removed from who I used to be.

I’m hoping maybe someone out there has some tips, advice, etc. that has maybe helped them with this. Too often the advice I’ve seen is to keep, keep, keep. Which only adds to the feelings I currently have.

Additionally, I’m hoping this sub will help me to appreciate what I have and to identify those items I truly love. I’m honestly excited about this sub and it’s my favorite space in Reddit. I already love what I am seeing here and I truly enjoy the shift in focus!
