Elf-Yourself (Dancing Elves) Is Creepy

First off, I know everyone loves dancing elves and thinks they’re so nostalgic. And I know this is unpopular.

I don’t know why, but I’ve always found elf-yourself to be kind of horrifying. Every time I see it I get this sinking feeling, like uncanny valley vibes. The Christmas music makes it so much worse too. Like, look at me, my stationary human head attached to a body that moves in an unnatural, exaggerated way no person should move, staring directly into the screen at you all the while the creepiest, most repetitive Christmas music plays - uncanny valley city.

I don’t know if I’m alone in this.
