I just realized I’m gay and my profession won’t easily allow for it

It sounds dumb, but I’m going into policing and it is not a very welcoming environment. It is my passion but this is changing my perspective on my future. I am a passing transgender man, and that won’t be much of a concern for me (hopefully). The problem is that I was hoping to live a cookie-cutter lifestyle in policing and to just tell close friends that I’m trans. Well now if I ever get into a long-term relationship with a man, my existence will be questioned or belittled by a certain group of people within policing. I’ve tried to make it work with women so many times and have hurt them in the end, and a relationship with a man in my city seems hopeless regardless of my career path. Finding love and a job you don’t hate is kinda the two biggest things in life and if I can’t have either life feels so pointless
