Being a negative contrarian is more fun that people say it is.

Discussion Thread

I come from a household of combative people and contrarians that like to question everything and don't believe anything that is spoken by like a government entity or scientists. Thats not me tho. I do have a much more negative and grounded reality based contrarianism where if someone says something to me that seems too perfect or in anyway could have holes poked into it I immediately jump at the opportunity to as both a way to reticule them but also to make them defend their point harder and strengthen it.

One of my coworkers once argued to try to make things sound more positive or flip your world view cause all of us were complaining about our crappy GM so I immediately turned it around on her and tried to make what we were saying SOUND positive while also leaving it what was making us so bitter (For me to say what our GM said to one of our coworkers would prob not be allowed here, just know it was something related to guns).

I love doing it and I don't intend to stop as trying to ground people with being a negative contrarian makes debates and stuff far more entertaining and shuts up those that wanna make everything sound like sunshine and rainbows while the world around us crumbles.

Call me nihilistic, but its fun af.
