Adderall Questions - IR vs XR vs Stacking/Combo

I’m AuDHD and have been on Adderall 10mg XR for six weeks, along with my 3mg Guanfacine. My psychiatrist and I were discussing needing to edit my dose because the 10mg XR seems to help with some social aspects but not enough for executive dysfunction and task switching. She decided to also prescribe me Adderall IR 10mg and told me that for the next few weeks I should try different combinations to see if any help up to a total of 20mg a day. She suggested things like 10mg XR in AM, 5mg IR midday; 10mg IR in AM, 10mg IR midday; 10mg XR AM, 10mg IR midday.

I’m curious if anyone here mixes IR and XR doses and, if so, which mix works for you? What dosage felt like it helped? Did IR or XR give you different side effects? Did you end up needing a different med instead? I’m hoping this discussion can give me more insight and things to discuss with my psychiatrist as we’re also planning to tackle my anxiety after getting this sorted.
