Would you recommend WoW Forever to someone who has never played WoW before?

Hey everyone!

I'm looking for some opinions on whether WoW Forever would be worth getting into as someone who has never played WoW before.

I've played quite a few MMOs over the years, including Cabal Online, Hero Online, New World, Knight Online, and Metin2. What I'm really looking for is an MMO that can give me that old-school feeling again, spending a lot of time developing my character, meeting and playing with other people, being part of a guild, grinding, faction wars, and having different builds to experiment with.

I've never really wanted to start WoW because it's been around for so long, and I always assumed I'd be massively behind everyone else and have years of content to catch up on. I've also tried newer MMOs like ESO and New World, but neither really gave me the experience I was looking for.

I was hoping Guild Wars 3 might eventually be something I'd get into, but I don't think that's happening anytime soon. Riot's MMO also seems to be off the table for the near future.

So that brings me to WoW Forever.

For someone completely new to WoW but with a decent amount of MMO experience, do you think it's worth starting? Does it still have the kind of social interaction, guild/community aspect, character progression, grinding, PvP/faction conflict, and build variety that I'm looking for?

I just want something I can sink time into and hopefully get that feeling I had with MMOs years ago.
