[Tips] the reel that finally worked broke every rule i'd been following
i followed all the reel advice, hook in the first second, trending audio, fast cuts, text on screen. my reels were technically correct and completely ignored.
the one that finally took off was a slow, unpolished clip of me just explaining something i actually knew, no trending sound, no rapid cuts. it worked because it was useful and real, not because it hit the checklist. the checklist was making my content look like everyone else's.
i think the tactics are table stakes, but they can't manufacture something worth watching.
what rule did you break that your best-performing content violated?
