End of the Transition Period?

Discussion

After watching the Season 52 premiere, I'm starting to feel like we've finally made it out of this half-decade-long transition period that the show has been in since the big players of the previous era (Cecily, Kate, Aidy, Beck) slowly trickled out, and I'm starting to see a much more cohesive cast than we've had in recent years forming. Just seeing Grace, Veronika, and Jane together in the Dream Academy sketch, or Jeremy and Ben appearing together in the Shark Tank and HSM sketches, it feels like SNL has finally put together a cast that can deliver on that kind of Gen Z comedy that they've been trying to capture for the last few years.

Does anyone else feel this way? It's a kind of chemistry I feel like we haven't really seen since the big hitters of the 2000s, cause while the 2010s cast was very funny, it felt much more divided into different niches than this united front I feel like is forming in this first episode. It's definitely too early to tell, but I'm really excited for the rest of this season, it feels like the start of a new era.
