Golden State Warriors Fans: are you scared?

Every major outlet thinks the Warriors are a play-in team. I think they're grading the floor, not the ceiling

**•	ESPN:** C+ from Zach Kram, who called the Horford, Melton and Porzingis deals fine individually but not enough to lift a team stuck in the middle
**•	ESPN's BPI:** ranks us No. 18
**•	The Ringer:** Michael Pina put us 22nd in his preseason power rankings, in the "Sad Play-In Hopefuls" tier
**•	DubNation HQ:** a B+, arguing the Porzingis and Melton re-signings were excellent and cheap

The pessimism makes sense on paper. We went 37-45 last year, and the only additions were Yaxel Lendeborg, Brandon Williams and Georges Niang, while Quinten Post and Pat Spencer left.

But almost none of these grades account for the biggest change: Jimmy Butler coming back from his torn ACL. Before he went down, Butler was plus-185 in 38 games, and Melton was next best at plus-95. That's two of our most impactful players who barely shared the floor last year.

The real risk is Draymond. ESPN pointed out our defense was actually better with him off the court last season, something that's only happened once before in his career.

So which is it: a healthy Butler/Curry/Porzingis group that surprises people, or a 22nd-place team that everyone's correctly written off?
