My bf (20M) said he wanted a break from me (20F) to focus on his career & school

TLDR: we dated for a year and a half, he told me that he won't be looking for anyone else and that I'm still the only one he wants. He told me that he doesnt want a relationship at the moment so he told me he wanted a break.

We spent everyday together, he would come to my apartment after classes and spend time with me until the evening. We are in second year of college btw, and we had spent all of first year together even through exams/midterms.

I was so desperate on day 1, 2 and 3 after he initiated the break so I spammed him with 10+ messages asking to talk properly after he said he would "text me back when he has time"

I can see him online on like Instagram, WhatsApp and discord and he recently just removed me from sharing his location.

How do I get over this? He was my motivation for school and always supported me when I was stressed about assignments. He helped clmgott me so much its so hard to hold back from texting again
