How would you talented painters do an "Anti-OSL"?

Sci-fi

Ive been thinking about repainting my Knight Cerastus Atrapos. It has what is called a Singularity Cannon. Its what it says in the tin, does what you would expect.

Well, I had the thought, black holes, and the singularity at their core, are often said to grab everything past their event horizon, even light. So what if i actually modeled a small singularity at the end of the gun, and did like a negative OSL, laying out the lines like I was doing normal OSL, but painted the areas exposed to the singularity in the darkest black I could, since there wouldnt be any light hitting it?

Am I going off the deep end with this idea, or could it be a cool project for something unique and different?
