Barrio Brewing in Tucson

NOT RECOMMENDED

So I’ve been in Tucson for more than 5 years and I like some of the breweries and love the beer bars that offer to go beers or beers to drink at the location.

So I believe Barrio Brewing to be a pioneer for craft beer in Tucson. As I understand, it’s the oldest still operational brewery in Arizona.

I’d like to be a fan of their beers, but the beers are average at best across the board. I’ve gotten sampler’s there and have at least tried the vast majority of their beers.

Does anyone know why their beer isn’t better? I’m speculating that they mash at different temperatures that are not consistent for the style of beer or they are using less barley? Any insight is appreciated. I’ve only home brewed about 5 or 6 times.
