Observing suburban demographics change and seeing how it has increased dramatically

In Sydney, it’s an observation seeing how the demographics in suburbs change an over time but it’s almost been the same change across several suburbs.

About 10 years ago Parramatta was a diverse suburb and you’d see a mix of ethnic backgrounds out in public. Now, if you look at a public spaces or shopping centres the majority representation is South Asian/Indian. A couple of years ago the same change started happening in suburbs like Blacktown and now it’s also almost majority South Asian. This year, I’ve noticed the same shift happening in suburbs further west like Penrith, the ethnic shift.

You read about immigration numbers and the rate of immigration but seeing it actually happening in real time is quite eye opening.
