[Switch 2] Burned USB-C Pin?
Hello all, longtime reader, first time poster.
So I believe that the USB C port on my partner's Switch 2 is bad. Noticed that the dock was blinking green and not charging from the bottom USB C port. Looked at it with my microscope and saw that one of the pins (ground?) looks like it almost charred. The port is completely clean otherwise and it has been living in the dock most of its life.
Does the attached photo looked charred or is it just me?
I did try to scrape it a little with a fine point tweezer and clean it with ISO and a small bit of paper towel but that didn't do anything. Tested in dock, with the official power adapter, and with a 90w USB C adapter. Even threw a USB C tester in the mix and it wouldn't negotiate, the tester stayed off. I have a USB C cable with a power LED and noticed very quick flashing like it was attempting to negotiate...
Anywhoo, would love to get a second opinion. Hopefully Nintendo will warranty it because the system is in otherwise pristine condition. Thanks!
