Just finished it, have done zero research, want to discuss!
So many questions. Fuckin great movie, straight scared the shit out of me a few times and deeply disturbed me the whole time lol. I haven't done any research yet/ checked reviews/ anything, so I'm sorry if some of these questions are redundant. Before I go deep dive into some of the concepts/ questions I have, I wanted to ask yall, so thanks for taking the time ππ
-
Every time there was the thump thump- was it meant to get whoever was in there running further into the rooms/ away from the entrance? And was it always pirate Clark?!
-
What happened to Kat? Was it pirate Clark or "regular" Clark?
-
Why show the therapist's back story if the only thing the rooms reflected was the house/ the piece of concrete?
-
Sort of a chicken/ egg question but do you think the rooms relationships with each person was set up to lure the person to the rooms or did the rooms reflect the person's life after the entered the backrooms?
-
Was the caveman merely an instrument to communicate with something otherworldly or the people in the rooms, or was the caveman the omnipotent entity behind the rooms & calling the shots?
-
Do you think the caveman recording was meant to entice whoever was in there, to get them to go towards the sound or was it a genuine call out to communicate with someone/ something?
-
Do you think the scientists discovered the door to the rooms through their MRI research or do you think the scientists created the backrooms through their MRI research or both/ neither?
-
You think it's possible Clark's mind was fractured and the therapist joined his delusion, folie a deux type situation?
-
Do you think the therapist's Mom could have potentially been the first person to enter the backrooms due to her psychiatric problems/ hospitalization?
-
If the video at the end was supposed to be before Clark went in, was pirate Clark there before Clark ever went in?
-
Why did pirate Clark eat regular Clark? How long was Clark in there before the therapist went in to find him?
Again- sorry if these questions have been asked & answered, hopefully they haven't & we can further discuss! Thanks again ππ
