Tips for solving Pseudocode problems for 9618 P2

For Longer (6,7,8) marks pseudocode questions, I usually write a small pseudocode of pseudocode on the side before even touching the answer sheet. But I realised that this takes around 2x times to do one question. And then I moved to writing a ghost code using my pencil on the answer sheet, like not even writing the whole syntax but just writing a structure so I can erase any errors. But then this also takes more time cuz I have to rewrite it with pen.
So, any tips on how to do pseudocode problems in time?
Cuz theres the time constraint and on top if I jump to writing with a pen, then I risk making a critical mistake with no turning back.
