Will looked around the room for a bit as he held the teacup in hand, eyes moving from the girl as she talked, to the TV, to some curious around the room. It had been the first time he visited her house, but everything felt so stiff and formal that he didn't know how to proceed. The excitement he felt at getting invited to her house had long fizzled, and he kept stealing glances at the clock.

The guy was 19 years old, and had moved to the country almost a month back. He'd always wanted to try staying here for a relatively long stretch of time, and language school was the perfect excuse to live and learn. A couple weeks ago, he tried the local dating apps which turned out to be much harder than back home. The lack of language was a big barrier, and him being a white foreigner was another. Still, he managed to match with a similarly aged girl and went on a couple of dates with her.

Things moved very slowly though, until she invited him over to her house. Will thought things would finally pick up a bit, but that turned out to be false since the girl was still being pretty formal and distant in her own house. At this point, the guy wasn't even sure where they stood. As the two were watching the TV, the main door opened, and an older woman walked in.

She seemed surprised to see the guy, looking over at the girl questioningly. Small introductions followed, and Will met the girl's mother for the first time. They had some small talk, where the mom was polite with him. Suddenly, she tapped her forehead.

"Oh! I forgot to pick up the dry cleaning! They're going to be closed for the next couple of days..." She exclaimed. Then, she turned towards her daughter. "Can you go and get those? You know where the store is. Barely half an hour away. You'll be back within an hour I think. Here's the receipt..".

The daughter didn't seem too enthused about the idea, but did take the receipt and leave, telling Willing she'd be back soon.

The older woman waited for a moment when she left, before walking over and sitting next to Will. "Oh, so, how long will you stay in the country? Do you guys use dollars back home?" She asked curiously.

"Yeah, we use dollars there. I'm currently in language school, so maybe 3-4 months at least?" Will replied.

"Ahhh that's good. Plenty of time to get to know each other..." The woman smiled and put a hand on his knee, which crept up his thigh.

Hey there! I'm looking to play out a scenario between a foreigner staying in a country, and the mom of the girl he's seeing. There wouldn't be much headway in the relationship, but the mom would be very interested when she learns he's a foreigner and has foreign currency saved up. She'd get "friendly" with him, hoping to keep him around their life so they could benefit however possible.
