Mixing/Mastering

I know this is production but I’m sure I’ll find the help/answers here. I’m just getting more and more familiar with mixing and very new to mastering but I think I get the concept more.

I’m getting better as my new tracks are sounding more full compared to my previous tracks. However, I can’t seem to get my vocals crisp and clear. Once I mix and add effects it all becomes very muddy and I get the sound I’m going for with the exception of the lack of clarity (If that makes sense).

I’m needing help. If anyone is willing to take the time to listen to a demo and give feedback and tips, let me know. If you’d like to help in the actual mixing mastering too, I’d be more than grateful for that. But I also want to learn as much as possible.
