got my controller maybe 2 years ago, and was letting charge in its case on my entertainment center. Went to go use it but when i tried to open themap ingame the touchpad did nothing. I tried other games and nothing. i tried resetting it used the button on the back of the controller, using the ps5 menus to reset it, tried power cycling it, tried connecting it to my pc and using a tester to make sure there is zero input being detected on the touch pad, button and touch function. model number is CFI-ZCP1 and firmware version is 2.17. I am extremely careful with my electronics and this controller has been in either my hands or the case zero exceptions, so there would be zero physical damage to it. I tried contacting playstation support and my purchase was well outside my warranty, so they refuse to cover any repairs. So i plan i opening up myself and checking for a loose cable but i gotta wait for my order of repair tools to come in. In case I need to I plan on replacing the actual board for the touchpad but i dont know were to get one and what board would be the correct one for the dualsense edge. If I could get any help with that, and/or any help with this issue in general, it would be greatly appreciated, as it seems like after countless searches, no one has this same issue with it.
