Stalked my ex 2 years later and somehow finally got closure
My ex left me for another girl about 2 years ago. I’ll admit she’s really hot, and one of my guy friends used to literally beg my ex to put him on with her before they got together, so the whole situation definitely made me insecure at the time.
My ex also wasn’t exactly great to me. He could be an asshole and would put me down in front of other people, so I never really thought they were going to have some perfect relationship. That wasn’t what bothered me.
It was honestly my ego. He moved on and seemed like he genuinely did not give a fuck about me anymore, while I was left feeling rejected and replaced.
I’m with my boyfriend now and I’m genuinely really happy with him. I don’t miss my ex, I don’t want him back, and I wouldn’t trade my current relationship for that one.
But I stalked my ex recently 💀 and found out he and the girl broke up.
And I’m not gonna lie, it made me feel better. It was almost like getting closure for an old version of myself. I realized I wasn’t holding onto him—I was holding onto the ego hit of how easily he seemed to replace me and move on after hurting me.
Is it weird that even though I’m happy in my current relationship, I still cared enough to stalk two years later and got some satisfaction/closure from finding out they broke up?
