Why can't people who live far away from water just move closer to the water?
I was lucky enough not to be born in a place like in the middle of Africa where basic needs like food and water are scarce.
I was watching a YouTube video about water and it has shown how much time it takes for Aisha, a 13 years old girl from Africa, to gather water for her family. It takes her about 7 hours a day! That's terrible.
However I was thinking: couldn't her entire village just move to near the water? I doubt it's only her and her family that needs the water. Couldn't the entire village she lives in just pack up and create a new village near the water source? I guess it might be a bit of a hassle but it certainly can't be as bad as using 7 hours a day for life to get some water, no?
