[B4T] The Mystery Bar

It was a cold night, and I’d already drunk a little bit more than I’d intended to. I’d had a great time with some new friends, and after they left, I decided it was time to head back to my hotel.

After walking for about 10 minutes, I realised I was a bit lost, and I came to a dimly-lit bar in a particularly dark part of town. I figured there was no harm in popping in for one last drink while I worked out exactly where I needed to go to get back to the hotel.

As I walked in and up to the bar, I felt almost all of the eyes in the place watch me walk in. Not that there were loads, but it was busy enough. And one thing that I didn’t fully comprehend, was that the patrons were exclusively male.

I walked up to the bar, and ordered a drink. The barman winked at me as he poured my drink.

“New round here?” He asked

“Just visiting” I replied

“Hmm” the barman paused before handing me the drink “That’s what they all say.” I reached to pay but the barman stopped me.

“First one’s on the house, welcome!”
