Being coerced and pressured into practicing religion
Idk if this is the right group to discuss this. But I guess I'll just post it in a lot of places, because I am desperate.
I'm an INFJ, 27, spouse is ESTP, 31. When we were dating, I was agnostic. Then we got married and moved to another city. Over time, it became this weird thing of nonstop religious pressuring. Coaxing, pressuring, coercing me to practice religious rituals that I don't believe in. Eventually it lead to my ESTP withdrawing from me in every way including sexually because I kept re-establishing my boundary, "No thanks, I can watch but I don't want to do this ritual. I am not religious, I am not interested." He would also guilt me or say stuff like, "Fine. You feel more like a roommate than a wife."
I am honestly considering separation just so I can be sane and at peace and have my basic autonomy respected. It's sad because we have literally been married like 1 year. And I feel like a failure. But honestly, it's better than continuing like this forever.
Is there anything I can do to get through to him? Why can't he be happy being religious and leave me alone? Did he marry me thinking, "It's fine, I'll train her and mold her to be the way I want" ?
