Building a PC for a friend. All criticism welcome
Hey all, I've built a few PCs for friends in the past, but I've been out of the game for a while now. Haven't been keeping up with new drops and such in the 3ish years.
I have a friend who doesn't really play a whole lot of games that now wants a PC because everyone else in our friend group has one.
They have a few demands:
- As close to $1200 as possible
- Visually appealing
That's it. It didn't sound like too crazy a demand, so I said I'd help out. In this market, I have discovered I'm very nervous to say what to buy because it's all so expensive. Even what are supposed to be the lower-end cards in the gen are still soooo much.
This is what I have come up with so far, but I need help to know if this will be a solid PC.
The CPU, motherboard, and RAM are part of a combo deal at Microcenter for $399; that's why the prices aren't showing on the board + RAM.
I expect my friend will end up getting a 1440p 144hz monitor because most of us have one as well (This is why I have opted for a 16gb VRAM card).
New story games on Medium settings, Stardew, WoW Forever, etc. are some of the games that come to mind this person will play.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ANY THOUGHTS AT ALL ARE WELCOME!!! CALL ME MEAN NAMES FOR BUILDING SUCH A BAD PC FOR ALL I CARE!!
Thanks
