Small business owners: what cold outreach has actually worked on you?

My cofounder and I have been building an AI automation business for about 4 months, and we recently landed our first paying client. The problem now is that I’ve pretty much exhausted my personal network. So I’m trying to figure out what cold outreach actually works with small business owners without coming across like every other agency spam message.

What kind of cold outreach would actually get your attention or what has been working for you?And more specifically, what would make you actually respond to someone offering a service like this?

I’m not trying to pitch anyone here. I’m genuinely trying to understand what business owners respond to, because I’d rather build an outreach process that people don’t hate.
