slpa pathways

are there any Texan SLPAs here that completed their certification through a non-traditional path and can share how they did so!
Just for context:
my university offers a communication disorders program but Im graduating with my bachelor’s degree in psychology very soon so I thought it’d be better to complete that first and look for another way to become an slpa but don’t know how to go about it.
