Is this micro cheating or cheating?

So basically I wanted to make a new IRL friends since all mine make fun of me and are dicks so I was looking at locals on Instagram and following randoms and asking to be friends and one of them replied and I asked to be there friend because we both had the same music interest and I was talking asking if her and I could ever hangout cause we go to the same school and I said for her to never like distance herself from me because I have anxiety for those things and my girlfriend (distance) saw the messages and got made over them and left me for “cheating” even though I was trying to make friends. Is this considered cheating cause if so I’m sorry
