How to Become a Commuter

Hey all, after casually mountain biking occasionally for the past few years, something has caused me to jump in on the cycling train. I love it so far. Did my first 50+ mile road ride recently and loved it.

One now got my full suspension MTB, an entry gravel bike from Diamondback (which I love), and an Orbea Orca M20 road bike. I’m falling more and more into longer distance, fast road riding. But I also want to be a commuter. I want to ride every chance I get.

I live a couple s from work, from the cafes, from the grocery store, etc.

My question is this. Do you folks who are all in on tar road cycling, maybe even competing, also putt around daily on a bike?

It seems weird to go from full kit, timed endurance riding to hopping on in my street clothes to hit the local cafe.

But that seems great to me. Any advice for a noob looking at all sides of the sport?
