Should I try to get A5 for Akumura and Godoka?

I need help deciding how to spend my gems as a daily FTP player, especially if anyone can help estimate how many gems I could save get in the next 6 months.

I currently have a little over 90k gems saved. I wanted to get Akumura and Godoka to ascension 5 on this rerun, but I was unlucky, and after the free pulls and an additional 140 pulls for mercy, I was only able to get both to A4.

The reason I'm torn on what to do is because I want at least 120k gems but ideally more for the 2nd anniversary to get any new Monogatari characters that get added. I understand that there's the new item for upgrading ascension, but I was planning to save those for any Monogatari characters.

I also am fine not playing super meta. I just like maxing out the characters I have.

So with all that, how many gems do you think I could reasonably save in the next 6 months? If you were me, would you try to pull for Akumura and Godoka again or just save?
