I don't think suicide is the issue

NSFWSerious

People committing suicide is awful and I wish the rates were lower, but I think people focus too much on deaths. When it comes to suicide deaths, the thing I am most sad about is that the person thought the only solution to the suffering in their life was to die. This would seem obvious (maybe because I've had severe mental health struggles before), but people often only try to stop the suicide itself. "What about all the people that will miss you?" That won't make the person feel any better. Only guilty. That doesn't solve the problem. And from what I've heard about psych wards, they don't help improve your mental health, they just make sure you don't kill yourself. Anyways, this has just been on my mind recently and I think we should improve our mental health care. Btw, I might not respond to the comments, but the comments are a safe space to rant.
