What is cheap alternative to an actual wooden busk for stays for the 1820’s, for someone living in Australia?

I’m wondering what I can use as a wooden busk for 1820’s stays, as ordering actual wooden busks are very expensive to get delivered to Australia and I have very little wood carving experience. The last and only time was grade 7 or 8 wood work and I’m in my early 20’s now, so I have very little memory of how to do it.
