No sensation in lower front teeth/gums post cyst removal. is this normal?

question

20days ago, I had a radicular cyst under my lower front tooth surgically removed by an oral surgeon. The swelling has gone down and I can eat normally again, but I have complete numbness in the gums and tooth area where the surgery was performed.
I feel zero sensation even when touching it with something sharp it feels just like being under local anesthesia. Also, when I smile, the affected side of my mouth feels hard to lift, creating a noticeable asymmetry, which is really distressing.
Is this normal nerve paresthesia after cyst removal, and will the sensation gradually return? Would taking vitamin supplements (like Vitamin) help with nerve recovery?
Any advice or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
