Main character syndrome
I was heading to a doctor appointment last week. Was at a stop sign waiting to turn onto a divided highway with a crossover directly across from me. I’m waiting for all the drivers who were making U turns to go on. The car behind me decides to pass me on my left and then turn without even stopping, almost colliding with the last car that was making a U turn. Ridiculous.
Then there are the people coming out of a parking lot or side street who see me coming so they just roll through the stop sign so that they can pull out in front of me right as I’m approaching and then they don’t even try to accelerate, so I have to slam on brakes.
Oh and then the idiots that decide to change lanes in front of me at a red light at the last second so they can be the first one in that lane at the stop light. I had this guy in a huge truck come right up on my bumper as I’m slowing for a red light. I’m in the center lane. There were no cars in any of the other two lanes. He decides to move into the lane to my right, then cut over in front of me so his truck is at a diagonal because he didn’t even have enough space to stop straight on at that ppint. I don’t know what he was thinking, but if he wanted to be first, there were two empty lanes he could’ve gotten into and still been first.
Driving is so annoying these days. If people weren’t so main character obsessed these days, it’d be a lot less stressful.
