virtual desktop?

Hi,

I'm not able to open any apps or games in my virtual desktop, my monitor is 2K and the TV I'm streaming to is 4K, I don't want to constantly change the resolution of monitor just to stream at 4K, is there anyway I can control my apps and games from virtual desktop?
