The biggest thing I’ve learned from making short AI videos with AKOOL
one thing i've noticed while creating with AKOOL is that the prompt can't just describe how you want the final shot to look. it needs to explain what actually happens between the beginning and the end
when i first started trying this, i was putting way too much stuff into the prompt about cinematic lighting, camera angles, detailed environments, realistic textures etc. those things obviously help but they don't really make the video feel like an actual scene
once i started focusing more on the action itself it became much easier. instead of saying something should look cinematic, i started thinking about it more like a small sequence... the character notices something, reacts, moves toward it, does something, and then something changes
i've noticed this a lot with the short animal videos i've been testing on AKOOL too. even with just 10 seconds, having a small setup and payoff makes it feel much more intentional instead of just watching a character move around
i'm also still trying to figure out how much detail is actually useful. sometimes i'll add a huge amount of instructions and the result isn't necessarily better. other times a much simpler prompt with really clear actions seems to work better
so right now i'm basically trying to think about the story first and then add the cinematography around it
curious what everyone else has found... do you guys get better results with really detailed prompts or does simplifying things actually work better for you?
