Recruiting for new Daisy Troop
I’m hoping to get some advice because I’m starting to get really nervous. My daughter goes to a Catholic school, and over the summer I emailed the contact person about getting her started in Daisies when she started Kindergarten in the fall. I finally heard back about a month ago from the troop leader of the older girls, and she explained they needed a leader for this to happen, which I said I could do. Then I find out two other women are also interested in leading. Cool.
Now both women flaked out and it’s just me. Not only do they not want to lead, it looks like their daughters wont even be joining. I have been so invested in this whole thing! I have done all the trainings and more, researched a bunch, set up a Google and a Band account. I have my parent info session next week and…it’s just my daughter and her friend signed up. I sent out flyers at school last week. Just a whole lot of nothing. I attended the recruitment session hosted by our local council that they advertised at school a few weeks ago and no one else from her school came. I’m getting so worried that no one else is going to sign up. Can I even have a troop of 2 girls? When do I let my contact person know my concerns and to ask for her to do some recruiting for us? I went from hesitantly agreeing to do this just so it could happen to really being excited to lead, so I am just bummed.
