AITA for saying no to an in-law who want to store their in-laws large vehicle in out driveway?
Just for context, my spouse may either be a people pleaser, unable to say no, or is being religiously guilted. (Maybe due to the fact they were estranged for a time after our marriage.) This taking advantage had been going on for quite a few years and we had gotten a handle on it until lately.
A relative basically showed up and stored their “unknown” spouses relatives car in our driveway for an undetermined amount of time. (I know it sounds crazy as I write this). What’s actually crazy imo is the relative has a home, garage, and a driveway of their own.
When I asked my spouse why don’t they keep it at their place he responded that it was “inconvenient” for them. It has been almost a month and we have work that requires our driveway. When I bring the subject up he gets loud and defensive saying I’m being unreasonable. He’s been told God will be pleased with his doing good deeds for others. So am I being unreasonable? Years of this is taking a toll on me. Is it ungodly to say no? Sorry I just don’t know what to do at this point and just need a reality check. AITA?
