Question about scrapbook

I’m trying to figure something out. I’m working on collecting the different post cards in attempt to collect the different scatter bugs. If I delete duplicate cards from my scrap book, will that affect my progress towards scatter bug spawns? Like if I need 10 from a certain region and I currently have 7 in my book but 3 are duplicates. If I get rid of the duplicates will I still need the 3 that I needed or will I need to have all 10 in my scrap book? (I hope this makes sense, I’m struggling to explain in it a way that makes sense to someone other than the voices in my head.
