Company I work at just got bought by a private equity firm and I’m concerned.

General

I have been working for a family owned residential company for a few years now and just recently without any warning to us technicians it was announced that the company was just sold by the owner to a private equity company called Apex Service Partners.

For the most part I enjoy my job. I am left alone and do my slips and don’t complain. Guys call me for help on things and I have proven that I really know what I’m doing. I am paid well compared to some of the other guys and it’s not because I sell stuff but it is because I don’t have callbacks and I’m sent to the harder calls.

That being said on paper I am not necessarily a very profitable employee. I have seen the numbers and I am beneath some guys but I do a lot of warranty work and callbacks like I have said. What are some other people’s experiences with private equity companies? If I am pushed to sell and that’s all they care about I will be out the door immediately.
