[bug] User action required update glitch ??

I’m trying to start the game from the launcher but it keeps coming up saying update required and a steam restart. The last thing I did was alt f4 after I escaped a raid due to my screen going black for over 10 minutes I’ve checked the game files on steam and nothing seems to work
(Apologies in advance I’m still fairly new to owing a PC)
I’m just super confused
