[TOMT] A horror movie about generations of women and a witch.

There is a horror movie I saw some time ago and everything I search does not turn up the movie. I think it was non-english but I may be wrong. A witch possesses a daughter in each generation and then becomes the mother before eventually taking over that body. I think her mother was protecting her from it or maybe was trying to orchestrate it. I have been thinking about this for ages and finally decided to post. The final scene is her looking in the window of her own house as the witch is reading a story to her daughter in her body.
