Have you told your family?

Rant

So, obviously I've told husband. And even friends. But for whatever reason I just don't really want to tell my family.

We don't have a ton of support but my MIL is a pretty active grandma. I told her the plan is induction at 38 weeks (she's babysitting kiddo #1) and she is just... So nosey about it. Part of why I want the early induction is she booked a trip away like a week before my official due date. If I didn't have GD I would have then opted for 39 week induction.

There's many reasons: I'm 38, my last baby was 99th percentile, I'm ready to start our next life as a family of four. Oh and there's an OB at the hospital I'd love to avoid if possible.

Then I got insulin at night. Alright OB offers/prefers 38 week induction. Great, even more likely MIL can watch first kiddo.

Well, my MIL is a granola lady, who did some midwifery school. She just hates the idea of inductions, but an early one?! Why?? She was asking me today and she asked me last week. I don't feel like telling her about GD and I can't put my finger on why, but I don't think I need to? Like... It's nobodies business, right? Do I have to share my medical history in order to get babysitting?

Am I crazy?
