Treating my apartment like an SP/ separate success story
I could use some advice, but first I want to share a miraculous manifestation that happened today.
I was laid off exactly 2 weeks ago. I was devastated. I have chronic pain and cannot live without healthcare, so losing my job sent me to an incredibly dark place.
After I cried in my friend’s arms, he made me log into LinkedIn. I didn’t want to. I was really looking for reasons to give up. Sure enough, I had messages from two recruiters that same day. Today, I signed a contract for a new job making $6,000 more a year. I’ll have healthcare again in November, I can work remotely, and I’ll be a manager. I was NOT able to remain positive through this, but I kept listening to affirmations and subliminals anyway.
I don’t think it’s fully hit me yet, but this is a damn miracle. I’m so grateful.
Ok, onto my apartment bae!
When I walked into this apartment 3 years ago, I suddenly remembered someone once telling me the next place I moved into would be one I’d buy. Not a clairvoyant, just someone speaking life into me.
I had the most amazing feeling in my gut. This apartment is an absolute dream. I live in NYC (IYKYK), and my immediate thought was, “If I ever have to move out, I’ll never find anything as good or better than this.”
Well. My landlord is selling it, right as I have to file for bankruptcy because of medical bills. They want me out November 15th.
And now I’m realizing I’m treating this apartment like an SP I can’t let go of 😭
It’s been a good 7 years since I did the whole SP obsession thing, but this feels VERY familiar. My apartment feels like a guy with absolutely zero interest in me who has a new girlfriend, and I can’t decide whether to move on or keep willing this relationship into existence 😂
The miracle it would take for me to stay here forever currently feels beyond my realm of belief. But before the bankruptcy situation rocked my intuition, staying somehow felt realistic and logical.
There are 4 or 5 other buildings in my condo community, although rentals rarely come up. And part of what makes my apartment so special is that it’s a corner unit with the Manhattan skyline as my view. That and the accessibility to my best friend, urgent care, groceries and transportation.
So what do I manifest?
Do I stay specific and focus on keeping this apartment? Another unit here? Or script everything I love about this place and leave the “how” open?
I don’t want to cling too hard, but I also know what I want, so why not be specific as fuck?!
Would love thoughts or success stories from anyone who has manifested a housing miracle, especially one that initially looked completely impossible.
