What will happen when the sidemen want to make less content and can they be like top gear ?.
I vaguely remember one (or maybe a few) of the Sidemen talking about how, at some point, they’d have to slow down and stop producing so much content, and that this could eventually lead to them transitioning into what they hoped would be more Top Gear-style content. I can’t remember exactly who said it though, so someone correct me if I’m remembering it wrong.
That got me thinking: what if they spent two to three weeks over multiple months each year filming one or multiple huge adventures for example driving through the European Alps in manual cars, with a tiny crew, one main cameraman and their gopros. Does not have to always be about cars like top gear.
The goal would be a real, naturally unfolding which already happens in the sidemen videos unlike top gear which is scripted most of the time but the same production idea. So not just a copy of top gear but the own sidemen style of filming where its fun challanges.
But i see a peoblem where it might get so boring and dull at times which then they would need scripts.
Then they could release it throughout the year as:
Sidemen: Driving Through the Alps Part 1, 2, 3, 4...
It would let them keep their normal content while slowly building towards that Top Gear-style era and less content over the years.
Do you think this could ever work?
