Animal slaughter and birth rates?

Birth rates are low because of smartphones, climate change, women empowerment etc..But IMHO what we eat as well , the cruelty we do to the animals for each meal maybe running in the subconscious of people as telling them that this animal cruelty cost is too much for human race sustenance, hence not have too many babies.

"Humans k!ll an estimated 92.2 billion land animals and 1.2 to 3 trillion marine animals each year for human consumption"

I am an Indian who lives in Delhi. Became vegetarian as a kid only at age 7-8 thinking of animal slaughter. Now mostly vegan.
