People joining the army in countries with nuclear arms are either lost in their lives or bad persons.
I always hear catchphrases like "protect & serve" in countries with nuclear arms like the US, France, Russia or China, but really ? What are you protecting ? You're litteraly a coughing baby protecting the hydrogen bomb. The only thing you will serve is the interests of oligarchs in foreign countries. Yeah obviously you are going to tell me "yeah but you are assuring the peace of the world by being in the army", really ? The US soldiers attacking Iran were assuring peace ? The French military who decides to disarm only one side of the centrafrican civil war ending it in a genocide were assuring the peace ? I don't see a single scenario where you are serving or protecting the people of your country when it has a nuclear arsenal.
